Suggested Use: As a dietary supplement, take one capsule, three times a day with meals or as directed by your health care practitioner.,,*Safety Alert: Ingestion of greater than 3 g/day of licorice root or 100 mg/day of glycyrrhizin for more than six weeks can cause water retention, hypertension, hypokalemia, and suppression of the renin-angiotensin system.  Monitoring of blood pressure and electrolytes and increasing daily potassium intake is suggested if using dosages referred to in this alert statement.  Licorice containing products should be used with caution and under supervision in those with pre-existing hypertension, renal disease, or those taking digitalis preparations.
