Serene Plus strongly supports inhibitory neurotransmission through a combination of amino acids and vitamin and mineral cofactors. 5-hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP) is included to support the production of serotonin. Serene Plus is similar to GABAMax in that it supports serotonin and GABA but is different in that it does not contain any precursors for stimulatory neurotransmitters. Serene Plus also has higher level of support for GABA than GABAMax.

Serene Plus has been used successfully during the Phase 1 of neurotransmitter therapy to reduce catecholamine and PEA excretion. Serene Plus may also be part of the ongoing therapies for patients with neurotransmitter over-stimulation.

Product Ingredients
Serene Plus contains the amino acid theanine, which has been widely studied for its ability to provide a calming effect and prevent the neurotransmitter stimulatory effects. These studies match observations by NeuroScience that theanine reduces PEA, norepinephrine, and epinephrine activity/turnover and urinary excretion.

Other ingredients in Serene Plus are vitamin and mineral cofactors of the enzymes required for the synthesis of neurotransmitters.

Special Instructions: Doses should be taken on an empty stomach 30 minutes prior to or 2-3 hours after meals.Does not contian wheat, corn, soy, salt, sucrose, starch, yeast, artificial flavors, artificial colorings, or other known allergens.
